What Is Child Therapy?

Child therapy is a specialised form of psychotherapy tailored for children. It uses age-appropriate techniques such as play therapy, art therapy, and storytelling to help children express their emotions and work through difficulties they may not yet have the words to describe. Our trained therapists create a warm, safe space where children feel comfortable to open up.

How It Can Help Your Child

  • Managing anxiety, fears, and emotional outbursts
  • Addressing behavioural difficulties at home or school
  • Coping with family changes such as separation or loss
  • Supporting learning and developmental challenges
  • Building social skills and healthy friendships
  • Boosting self-confidence and emotional resilience

What to Expect

Sessions are conducted one-on-one with the child using play-based and creative approaches suited to their age and developmental stage. An initial assessment session with parents or caregivers helps the therapist understand the child's needs and create a personalised plan. Sessions are typically 45–50 minutes long.
